Our team

Dr. Irit Yaniv, MD, MBA

Managing Partner

Irit Yaniv is an experienced and accomplished senior executive in the Medtech industry. Since joining Accelmed, in 2012, she plays a significant role in leading Accelmed’s ventures portfolio companies, serving either as Chairperson or as an active board member.  During these years, she advanced the international network, while expanding the reach of Accelmed companies towards relationship with strategic investors and financial syndication. 

She was the co-founder of two of Accelmed’s portfolio companies in the field of metabolic disorders – e.g. Diabetes and Obesity.

Previously, she held operational positions with different medical device companies, including serving as CEO for Metacure and Impulse Dynamics. 


She is heavily involved in the Israeli Eco-System, taking an active part in the BioMed, ICI and WHII conferences as well as 8400 project (cohort 2). 


Dr. Yaniv holds an MD degree from the Ben-Gurion University and an MBA from the Recanati Business School at Tel Aviv University.

Amir Blatt


Amir Blatt brings a wide experience in the HealthTech field. He joined Accelmed in 2010 and led or played a pivotal role in the vast majority of its venture and private equity investments including deal structure, syndication and establishing business models. Mr. Blatt serves as a board member on a number of Accelmed companies in the US and Israel.

Prior to joining Accelmed, Mr. Blatt worked at Goren Capital Group, a boutique investment bank, advising investors and TA-25 companies on M&A activities and held sales position with Dover Medical Devices, J&J’s diagnostics equipment distributor in Israel at the time. 

Mr. Blatt graduated as a biotechnology engineer from the Technion-Israel Institute of Technology in Haifa and holds an MBA from the Recanati School of Management at Tel Aviv University.
